5/17: Fletcher enjoyed having Mom build sand castles and smashing them with a shovel.  He could have done it all day.

5/17: Fletcher got his first pair of Crocs today. They are very cute.

5/17: Fletcher has finally discovered a food he did not like. He tried a cold beet (for salads) and he was utterly disgusted by it.  He shuddered and pulled everything out of his mouth.

5/17: Fletcher was eating some snacks that Tom had put in his lap while we were at the park.  He ate them all and wanted more and mistakenly shouted "Mom" and then said "I mean DAD!"

5/17: Fletcher was running in his new shoes and tripped and skinned his knee pretty badly - it bled quite a bit.  He only cried for a second and then was on to do something else.

5/18: Fletcher is a very good eater.  We had pork chops and corn on the cob for dinner.  Cooper had sort of eaten his corn and showed it to Mom and said that he thought he had eaten enough and was done with it.  Before anyone could say anything else, Fletcher was pointing at the corn and yelled "MOM!"  He really wanted Cooper's corn.

5/18: While Cooper was busy getting ready for bed, Fletcher went into Cooper's room and took all of his buddies off of his bed and went and threw them into his crib.  Tom asked Fletcher if he had taken Cooper's buddies and he shook his head yes but when Tom asked him if he'd show him where he put them he said no.

Cooper is starting to roughhouse and play with Fletcher a little more.  He enlists Fletcher to take all his buddies from his bed to our family room to play and then back up.  Fletcher works and works to take these up and down the stairs to help Cooper.

We had a movie matinee at home and Fletcher really enjoyed the popcorn.

Fletcher is really enjoying playing outside these days.  He brings his shoes to us and tells us he wants to go out.

Cooper couldn't wait until Mother's Day to share all his gifts with Michelle.

Last Pack meeting of the Spring.  Cooper was very excited to get his face painted to mark passing from being a Tiger to a Wolf.

Cooper's Cub Scout pack helped put flags on all of the graves at Ft. Logan National Cemetery here in Denver for Memorial Day. It was a nice way to show the kids the true meaning of Memorial Day.  We met at the cemetery at 7:30 and we were done with the project by 9:30.  We probably put flags on 50-60% of the ~96,000 headstones.

As we were leaving and looking out over the cemetery with all of the flags, Cooper said he felt proud to have placed the flags.

Fletcher is starting to want to roughhouse now.  He puts pillows down on one side of me and dives across my stomach onto the pillows. He runs around my feet again and again and keeps jumping.

We played catch with Cooper and Fletcher tried to get in on the action.
