10/13: Cooper told us that tomorrow was hippo's birthday. Hippo is turning 60. Cooper said "I think hippo might like to go the zoo for his birthday to see his favorite animals....lions"
10/15: Cooper was singing a song. I asked him what he was singing and he said "Just a little love song"
10/16: Cooper told Grandma "I'm only 5 - I can't drive to your house" when she told him he should come build shelves at her house
10/18: Cooper wanted me to come outside for a snowball fight. When I went out there and threw a snowball at him he said "hey, why don't you pick on someone your own size?!?!" and laughed.
10/19: Cooper showed me his new tent set up in the living room. I told him I'd take my shoes off and get inside with him and he said "No adults allowed"
10/24: Cooper and Mom encountered a rattlesnake on a hike at Horseshoe Bend Overlook. They were scrambling on some rocks and it was in a crevice. It rattled at them but didn't strike.
We took a one-week vacation / work trip to Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. Cooper was excited to swim in the pool and got more comfortable scrambling on the rocks during this trip. Click here to see more vacation pictures.
