12/10: Cooper said "You should know better, I don't" when Tom apologized for being so cranky and frustrated at Sam's Club

12/11: Cooper swam for the first time today.  He put it all together - floating on his stomach, kicking his feet, and stroking his arms.  He told the swim instructor to move further away from him so he could go further.

12/19: Cooper noticed in the evening that I hadn't read the paper that morning (it was sitting on the table in its’ plastic sleeve.)  He said "Mom, you didn't read your paper today."  I told him that I was too busy and didn't have time to read it.  He said "That's ok, I'll read it for you."  Then he said "Actually, I can't read, but I can look at the pictures and tell you what's happening."  He then proceeded to take the paper out of the sleeve, open it up, spread the pages all over the table and look through all of the pictures and tell me what he saw.

We received 31" of snow just before Christmas.  The city shut down.  Cooper had a lot of fun and helped shovel.  He really likes it when I dump snow on top of him.
